Jesus’ Evidence Story in John 5
Story Walkthrough
John Baptizer (31-35) – Jesus said John Baptizer is one of his witnesses. The Pharisees knew John and recognized him as a prophet. John believed in Jesus.
Drawings: John Baptizer (man & water) was a prophet (flame & staff) who worshipped (branch) Jesus as God.
Scriptures & Miracles (36-40) – Jesus’ miracles are proof he’s from God. The Scriptures are also evidence, for Jesus kept fulfilling prophecies about the Messiah.
Drawings: Jesus’ wisdom (scales & crown) and divine power (dove & flame) prove he’s the Messiah.
Father Yahweh (41-44) – The leaders rejecting Jesus as Messiah proves that they do not love God or know him. If they really loved God, they would love his Son.
Drawings: Yahweh the Father (speaking king) sent Jesus to save the whole world (earth & stars).
Moses’ Messiah (45-47) – Moses wrote about Jesus. The leaders rejecting Jesus means they reject Moses.
Drawings: Moses (man, flame, staff) wrote clearly about the coming Messiah in the Scriptures (scroll).
