John 6 – Jesus Forsaken

Jesus Forsaken Story in John 6

Story Walkthrough

Confused Followers (60-62) – Jesus’ disciples couldn’t understand his teaching about eating his flesh and drinking his blood. Jesus was trying to reveal his glory.

Drawings: The crowd had a hard time seeing Jesus (man, cross, staff) in his spiritual glory (crown & cloud).

Spirit’s Gift (63-65) – The power to understand and believe Jesus is a gift of the Holy Spirit. No one can truly follow Jesus unless the Father makes it possible.

Drawings: The Holy Spirit (dove & fire) opens the way (road) to eternal life in heaven (shining city & cloud).

Rejected & Abandoned (66-67) – At this point, the crowd rejected Jesus and didn’t follow him anymore.

Drawings: Jesus (man & cross) invited the crowd to see and believe, but they rejected him (man & barrier).

Belief & Betrayal (68-71) – Peter said they knew Jesus was the Messiah, and he is the only way to eternal life. Jesus prophesied that Judas would betray him soon.

Drawings: The Twelve still believed (man, faith, flag). Judas would follow the Devil (snake & money bag).
